Virtual Atari Released

Seattle Omniworks this week released it's latest creation, Virtual Atari.  The website, located at http://www.virtualatari.org, is the second site in Seattle Omniworks vintage website series that features online playable games.

The site which contains 556 games from the Early 1980's through to the home brew creations of various users from this decade, runs on the JStella platform, thus allowing any user with a Java enabled browser to play the games that are online.

The site was the brain child of Bill Martens, based on the sucess he has had with the Virtual Apple ][ website.  The site will also feature the upcoming Atari Manual Tome Version 2.0, which is a completely re-worked version of the Tome.  Version 2.0 will be available as a PDF, an ISO, and as a completely hyperlinked HTML based website.  Expected release of the Tome is sometime later this spring (2010)
